Day 20: How to Extract Mint Oils from Leaves

This is something that is interesting to do. Let's see what I could learn from it.

What I Learn?

Use high grain alcohol or vodka. This is used to help extract oils faster. Chop the mint leaves. Put the leaves and alcohol in a tight lid jar. Let the jar sit for several weeks. Be sure to put it in a dark place. When it's done, you must extract the leaves using a strainer of some sorts.

Then you can use the oils in drinks, foods and more. You can use it to repel insects. Mint is good to smell because it boosts the mind. You can even use it on the skin too.

Do I Want To Do This?

Never thought that this could be an interesting way to get mint oils out of mint plants. I would like to try this at some point.
