What I Think about the TED talk Challenge?
I think it's interesting but I won't be doing this again for a long time.
Not because I hate it... but because it's hard to do this and do other stuff at the same time xD
However, I did enjoy listening to most of the talks... I will continue to only listen to the recommendations because they are always interesting to watch and listen to sometimes.
Believe me... you should watch a video sometimes because they do have good information about life and inspiration and much more.
So... thank you for being apart of this challenge. Now the next challenge is all about Christmas so keep a watch for the post VERY SOON.

Video Here: https://www.ted.com/talks/gabby_rivera_the_story_of_marvel_s_first_queer_latina_superhero?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=image__2018-11-29&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
Not much to say but I learned that Marvel brought to life the first queer Latina superhero. It's an interesting thing to watch.
What I Think?
I am glad there's a queer superhero out there because we need more of them. We need to support LGBQT more often because they are just as human as anybody else and they need a superhero too.

What I Learn?
Since I am not feeling good, just watch this video. I am listening to it in the background and it's interesting.
What I Think?
There are ways that there's too much information being noticed by the technology. It's okay to have it... but this can be a bit scary to think about.

What I Learn?
Religions should be noticed. We should be able to hold on with our religion as much as we could. Hope is the best thing in the world to have towards showing religion is good and not bad at all. Just watch the video to know more about.
What I Think?
I agree that people should have the right to believe in religion and it does needed to be protected. It's sad that the world is horrible and everything. I think religion is good for a person. She made a good point that a lot of the problem is all the phobias... and we must accept everybody as they are. There's nothing wrong with a person. Religion should be able to accept everybody.

Feeling Emphany is the best thing ever. Being able to create things and tell stories in different ways. There are a lot examples in the video that could make people become empathes. He talks about how VR can change people's minds. It's interesting to watch.
What I Think?
I love the words he mention at the end that we can become more human using these VRs other than just gaming. It's a good idea and I would love to use one just to see the world differently than any other. I hope this continues even today since this is an older video.

TED Talk of the Day 25: Becoming A "Now-ist"
Video Here: https://www.ted.com/talks/joi_ito_want_to_innovate_become_a_now_ist?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare&utm_term=watchNow
What I Learn?
There is a way to figure out what is going on the world by using apps. The Internet became a complex world that can help us see the world in a different way. Basically, there's way to innovation and changing how the world works. Innovation can help many individuals change things whether it's on the internet, our hardware and more. There's a lot of people who doesn't go far with innovation so we need to figure out to encourage people to become a "now-ist" type of person. Basically, a person who can work on things NOW instead of waiting for the future to do it for us. We can bring the future now. Learning over education... basically, education is people do for you... but learning is what you do for yourself. Always learning is the key of getting things done when they should.
What I Think?
I love how he said that about education and learning... so it's always good to innovate yourself and learn more about the world now. It's never too late to do anything... and it's always better to change something now. Do not wait for the future to happen. I love to learn everything one day... so yes, this is a good video to watch and learn about innovation.

What I Learn?
Video games are changing by making people make choices within a game. They showed a game that is out... and yes, it does make you make choices. Just watch the video for more.
What I Think?
I always love playing video games with good stories... A now they have games where you can make your story... no matter what direction you go. It's interesting and I would love to try it out because there are many different outcomes in a video game now days. Again... I love games with good stories and having the control to do that... makes me love video games even more.

What I Learn?
Over 7000 pieces of clothing are returned and most of the returned clothing product ended up in the landfill. Most items are sold to liquidators and other stores but it's getting expensive to do this. An idea would be turning green by letting customer take a picture of the product and it can go to a different person. Without having to go straight to the landfill. Just watch the video to know what she is talking about.
What I Think?
I think there should be a better way to shop and return items you ordered online. So the idea in the video is a good idea... so we all should shop green and learn to be careful what we return and instead... do it our way by going green.

I won't talk about much what I learn so just watch the video for more detail. But the main issue is how he used the idea of sailing into the drones and understanding the ocean a bit more.
What I Think?
I think it's a fun listen/watch so you should watch it too.
Note:
It's a holiday today so I am keep this post shorter... and just saying to watch the video xD I haven't been feeling good either so you have to understand why most of the posts are really short.

TED Talk of the Day 21: Better Way To Talk About Love
Video Here: https://www.ted.com/talks/mandy_len_catron_a_better_way_to_talk_about_love?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare&utm_term=watchNow
What I Learn?
In love, we fall, we crush. We crash and burn. We hurt. Much more. Love can be a crazy thing. Love can be anything you can think of. Madness can be a thing that love causes. Depression does link to love too. Love hurts. Experience with love and language of love all have connections. Change our culture and our attraction with love. Love should be something good and bad at the same time. But more good. Change our metaphor for love.
What I Think?
I think people do think love is something that should be kept forever. Love is not something you play around. It can hurt. Changing the whole idea of what love is all about... can change your way of thinking towards love. I'm asexual meaning I'm not attracted to the feeling of sex but rather for the feeling love and comfort. It's hard to get anybody to see that so love can be a complicated thing.

TED Talk of the Day 20: Speaking Up For Yourself
Video Here: https://www.ted.com/talks/adam_galinsky_how_to_speak_up_for_yourself?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare&utm_term=watchNow
What I Learn?
We should learn to speak up when it's not needed but when it's actually needed. People should learn to seem powerful when they do speak up. It helps to understand to expand the courage to speak up. Many times women are not able to speak up but then they stand for other women and more. Being able to speak up can help people out for many uses. Asking others for advice can help you be able to speak up for yourself. It's helping you become likeable. Expand your horizon and you be able to speak up in a good way.
What I Think?
I have seen a lot of times that people just speak up at a wrong time. I love that this helps me learn how and when to speak up. I think it's a good video to watch so I suggest everybody to watch it.

TED Talk of The Day 19: How To Disagree And Have Common Sense
Video Here: https://www.ted.com/talks/julia_dhar_how_to_disagree_productively_and_find_common_ground?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=image__2018-11-19&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
We just can't agree on anything at all. In the end, we are alienated for disagreeing. But there's a way to still disagree productively. Changing how we disagree things can help people not feel bad. You should imagine yourself about the humanity of how people are like. It helps have common sense when you are ready to debate or disagree against something. Have a good reason.
What I Think?
I think it's always a good idea to have common sense to start an argument. Too many times have I seen people who argues but have no time to think about others... instead, they get nowhere in life with arguments that lead to nowhere. I try to think before I argue but I have been there a few times where I never think and just hurt people. Sorry about that. But there are times that people don't realize the truth when they disagree on something. The truth is always there and the reality is always there. Use common sense when you want to disagree on something.

TED Talk of the Day 18: Videos That May Reinvent Education
Video Here: https://www.ted.com/talks/salman_khan_let_s_use_video_to_reinvent_education?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare&utm_term=watchNow
What I Learn?
Salman Khan decided to make videos to help his cousins study but it turns out that it helped more than that. Many times students are failing classes in schools because each student has a different way of learning. It helps to have videos to teach students what to learn and more. It would help a student to have peer to peer studying.
What I Think?
Just so you know... this guy invented Khan Academy which have videos and online classes for all ages. I have been on this site but it's always something cool to have around if you wanted to freshen up your math skills or just wanted to have something new to learn. I think I will start using this app for myself to learn stuff and maybe even refresh some of my older skills... because you want to keep learning something new everyday. I agree that videos and having an online class can help students learn at their own pace. I think this would help students with learning disabilities too. So yea... something to think or... really check out Khan Academy yourself if you want to learn or refresh something.

TED Talk of the Day 16: The Case Of Overdue Book Fines At Libraries
Video Here: https://www.ted.com/talks/dawn_wacek_a_librarian_s_case_against_overdue_book_fines?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=image__2018-11-15&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
Libraries are good for everybody of learning. However, there are people who doesn't have money but they use libraries since there are many stuff that is free. Over 10,000 people are blocked from using libraries because of overdue fines. There are parents who are afraid of getting library cards for children because of the fines. There are baby steps on helping people with late fines at libraries. If we want people to love libraries again... get rid of fines altogether. Fines are not the big part of the library budgets. Literacy is important and that should be the number one thing libraries should think about instead of fines.
What I Think?
I agree that libraries are abusing fines a bit... Well, simply because there's a lot of times that people cannot afford fines. I try to turn in my books are my local library on time. I once had a book that said I was overdue when I finally told them that it was me that checked the book out. They took it off my list. But it's not good that libraries should keep putting on fines and forcing people to avoid libraries altogether. I think libraries should change how fines work. It could help to let many people go to the library more. My local library doesn't have certain books that you can easily checked out. Instead, you have to use a program that would take weeks and even more to get a book from another library. I think libraries should change on how they work things... Even if it just means no more fines to worry about.

TED Talk of the Day 15: A Sham?
Video here: https://www.ted.com/talks/teresa_bejan_is_civility_a_sham?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=image__2018-11-14&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
I really can't say much but could civility be BS? Basically, people can disagreements can be between people and how culture works out. We should be able to live together whether what we believe in. But civility should be treated precious.. but talking about civility can be a bit odd... basically, BS. Just watch the video to get what I learned about.
What I Think?
I sort of agree with everything she talked about. There are too much disagreements against certain parts of civility. We need to make it possible to learn to respect others for being different. We need to be able to respect others and calling BS on other people who talked about civility. So be aware... especially during the holidays when you will be dealing with families who love to talk about civility.

TED Talk of the Day 14: Thanking All For The Coffee
Video Here: https://www.ted.com/talks/aj_jacobs_my_journey_to_thank_all_the_people_responsible_for_my_morning_coffee?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=button__2018-11-13&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
You should always have good gratitude everyday. You should be able to thank everybody, stop and smell the roses... take the time out of certain times of the day and thank whoever you can think of. It helps to thank people because it not only makes you feel better... but rather makes those who are thanked to help others and get help. It's an amazing thing to thank people. Gratitude is a good thing. Being aware that there are thousands of people who do so much for one little thing.
What I Think?
I think people should thank everybody for anything... whether it's just opening a door or giving a product... something. Gratitude can help people better themselves and the world around them. Taking one step at a time is the best solution because you want to appreciate things. You never know what good might come just by thanking somebody. So give gratitude whenever you can... Especially, since there are thousands of people who work together to make something that you may drink, wear, and more. I should say thank you more often because it's a good thing to do.

TED talk of the day 13: Trusting the "Post-Truth" World.
Video here: https://www.ted.com/talks/alex_edmans_what_to_trust_in_a_post_truth_world?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=button__2018-11-13&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
Stories online can actually be fake. Checking facts is not enough to figure out the truth. A world where companies, people and more can share fake stories online. Only one story can be real but people shares the story because they think it's real for everybody else. It's not always true. This is what post truth is all about. But because fact checking might not even help out on finding out whether or not it's all true. Because it's a truth for one person or one story. Then you accept that it's the truth in the end... just by trying it out or something. A story that's not a fact, can turn to a fact into a data that's not real... and well... you get it in the end. It helps to challenge yourself on finding out what is real and what is not. Seek other viewpoints, listen to experts, etc. Always be sure to find out every way to see if something is true or not. Basically, make sure what you find out is real or not. Be very careful what you share about what you find online.
What I Think?
I have seen so many posts online that was shared and people are willing to believe things that could be only one story but not for others... it can always be misleading to find something that is about health or science or anything online without finding out if it's real. The best solution is do your research about what you find online. It's sad that many people don't do research on something before sharing it... because if you shared something, it will spread like wildfire. My advice from just watching this... Do not share until you are sure that it is real.

TED Talk of the Day 12: Building AI without losing control?
Video here: https://www.ted.com/talks/sam_harris_can_we_build_ai_without_losing_control_over_it?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare&utm_term=watchNow
What I Learn?
There's a possibility that AI can become smarter than us... maybe... but they could be at the point that we can't control them. One day, building machines that can disregard who they are. We will eventually build AI that will be just like us. AI can be able to explore intelligence higher than a normal human would. AI can start building machines of their own. We have no idea to take to create the safety to control an AI. The future might be scarier than what we think.
What I Think?
I agree that AI could become smarter than us. I agree that there's a way to build them with safety control... but because we are fast at making AIs, we never think about putting safety on these machines. I would be scared to think about this. While AIs are amazing to this world... I really hope they are able to control them better without AIs trying to take over the world.

TED Talk of the Day 11: Decentralized Internet
Video Here: https://www.ted.com/talks/tamas_kocsis_the_case_for_a_decentralized_internet?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=button__2018-11-10&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
Internet should be free but there's a lot of problems... You can easily see what your neighbor is doing just by using their internet in some way. It's the same for certain companies and much more. Data requests can be overloaded that it could cause problems. Computers can make mistakes... It needs to be fixed. Since people needs to learn how to watch out for computer mistakes. The future might bring more harm to the internet because its too decentralized.
What I Think?
I do wish the internet to be free but I want it to be safe too. I agree we might fix this problem because there's are sites that already been seen of problems... data breeches, YouTube videos cutting good videos and leaving the bad ones behind, etc. It's hard to imagine but the internet can be a scary place if it wants to. We need to fix this problem by adding certain blocks and more. But like he said... as the future looked... it's not good for the safety of our internet.

TED Talk of the Day 10: Kids Can Help Design Cities
Video here:https://www.ted.com/talks/mara_mintzer_how_kids_can_help_design_cities?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=button__2018-11-07&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
Kids are able to show what they like and don't like by giving ideas on a park that is constantly flooded... basically showing that kids can design cities and many more. But the government does not want to follow kids with their wonderful ideas. They do request things that adults would actually enjoy too. Kids have huge dreams. Kids want to play a lot so they have ideas of what they want... since they do seek thrills just like any adult would if they wanted to. Adults should enjoy things just as much as a kid would. Kids enjoy nature just like any adult would. Basically... let kids draw what is on their minds... whether it's for animals, humans and nature. We should hear the voices of all ages.
What I Think?
I agree, I think children should have a part on designing cities. It's important to try to make many places and cities. Even adults should let children design places that could have a function for them too. I think it's a cool idea and it should be added to everyday life. We do need a better way to show we care. Children are the answer to this.

TED Talk of the Day 9: Global Goals We Done And Haven't Done
Video here: https://www.ted.com/talks/michael_green_the_global_goals_we_ve_made_progress_on_and_the_ones_we_haven_t?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=button__2018-11-08&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
All the needs we are after... human needs, personal needs and much more are all important. Michael lists all the countries that are getting goals and what countries are falling short or much further back. Mexico is doing fairly okay... Russia and other countries going down the line are going to try their best. Just watch the video if you wish to know what all he is talking about. He does make a point... we really don't want to wait too long for countries to raise up on helping the people and more there. We should be doing better with health and hunger in the world. Water and Sanitation are doing really poor in most parts of the world. We need to find a way to fix all these countries in some way. Especially for gender equality and more. Change is possible.
What I Think?
I agree, we can change all the wrongs... because it is possible to do things right. I do noticed how the world seems to be going backwards on a lot of issues and goals... many of them are happening here in the USA. Michael talked about how other issues like water and sanitation is possible to be fixed for many countries... The world can be able to fix itself, if people are able to fix themselves... well, to me they should.

TED Talk of the Day 8: An Accident That Changed Movies?
Video here: https://www.ted.com/talks/franklin_leonard_how_i_accidentally_changed_the_way_movies_get_made_nov_2018?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=button__2018-11-07&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
How movies can be made... books, comic books, games, etc. Franklin talked about how scripts can sound weird or funny... writers that wrote one script could be the same ones that wrote one that are the good movies. You work into a script writers company where you go in and figure out what is wrong and what's right. They don't hardly come out until they all agree with one script edit. This guy went to write a letter to talk about certain scripts could be horrible. So he came to reading the better scripts. Ended up with the horrible script and it became one of the scripts this agent chose. There's a lot of movies that became famous based on what the guy told many companies... this brought good and better movies out into this world. Basically, he came up with the blacklist. This helped a lot of movies come to live. Wisdom can bring out the best of people. His words "We live in a very strange times" which makes sense about how movies are made.
What I Think?
Very interesting how a list could bring so many movies out. He did mention that as times chance, so will movies. More movies are becoming better and we, as watchers, are realizing this. I am myself a writer but not a very good one... so I doubt any of the scripts that I would write become a movie. I think it's interesting to listen to this guy because he said that nobody wants to see a color person, a man in the mind of a woman... and much more. I agree... writers should be based on a person who is black... a woman who knows what a woman thinks... and many more. This is a good video to watch and I want people to watch this too.

TED Talk of the Day 7: Having Coffee With Haters
Video here: https://www.ted.com/talks/ozlem_cekic_why_i_have_coffee_with_people_who_send_me_hate_mail?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=button__2018-11-06&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
There are a lot of people that can be haters but they are people just like you. I learn that this woman named Ozlem Cekic went to a guy's home and got to know him. She said that it's better to do this so that haters can know who you are. Get to know them, offer food, drink coffee and more. Her words say... Evil can only be defeated by kindness and that kindness wins.
What I Think?
I know that showing love is the best thing there can be. I love watching videos like this because it shows how people are in the world. I think I'm gonna learn how to show kindness to people more... it might help me mentally and maybe help that person become a better person. Oh, hey... kind of matches another video. So this is a video worth to watch or listen.

TED Talk of the DAY 6: Companies Controlling The Mind
Video here: https://www.ted.com/talks/tristan_harris_the_manipulative_tricks_tech_companies_use_to_capture_your_attention?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare&utm_term=watchNow
What I Learn?
Technology is controlling us. Many apps are able to get our attention. This happens everywhere and it's a race to get the most attention to people. It talks about how most companies are out to figure out what is on your mind. They targeted to people that could easily get attention. This needs to change. They need to start controlling how long people stay on any kind of technology. Tech companies should start figuring out how to stop worrying about how to attract but rather how to control how long people stay on it.
What I Think?
I agree that technology has been worrying about only how to get attention. It needs to change... it sucks that most people who uses YouTube... have been getting burnouts because of having to keep up with the new things that YouTube keeps having... meaning more attention... instead of more about the person and their love on what they do. This video should be worth a listen because people are limited their time in the real world and more on the technology that you use everyday... I try my best not to stay on a certain page because of how important my health is right now. It can be hard but it can happen.

Video here: https://www.ted.com/talks/suzie_sheehy_the_case_for_curiosity_driven_research?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I Learn?
Suzie talks about how science can be amazing if you do curiosity-driven research. She talked about how amazing one person was able to find out about electrons and protons... and how the world now uses billions and billions of protons in everyday use. All it takes... to be curious and to do research with that mind.
What I Think?
I think more people should be able to understand the world a bit better. This is all about science and well... it's something that should be fun... That's why curiosity-driven research should something that everybody should try. You never know what you might discover.

What I Learn?
It talks about how China is catching up to be bigger than US. And with what is going on with US and China... it questions on whether what the outcome might be. China is looking for more power and it could be something that we should think about. A huge example of what he was talking about is WWI and the guy who invented history books...
What I Think?
This is a scary thought to think about. I think it's important to think about what we should do in case of anything. This is a good listen... so you all should listen to it too. It talks what happens after the two world wars... and it is important to understand how history is important.

TED Talk of the Day 3: Reporting For Harassment and Discrimination
Video is here: https://www.ted.com/talks/julia_shaw_a_memory_scientist_s_advice_on_reporting_harassment_and_discrimination?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=button__2018-11-02&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I learn?
There's a lot of companies and work places that harassment and discrimination happens at. This video talks about how to remember what happened during harassment and discrimination. There's a list that asks what you remember what happened during and after the report... it helps a lot to keep you from being scared of what happens to you. Especially, if they are wrong. There's an app called Spot that can help you report if a harassment or discrimination that happens. You can use this same app to report it to your employer. It's a good app if you want to stay anonymous. This app is helpful for people who are afraid.
What I think?
This is actually a good listen/ watch. I don't work but I know my brother has experience this a lot of times because of his speech impairment. As always, if you feel like something is wrongful in your workplace or in fact, anywhere, don't be afraid to report it. Reporting things can have many good things... it's time to stand up for yourself and not be afraid... no more harassment and discrimination in your workplace.

What I Learn?
There are times we all make mistakes or even worse... she talked about being a better person by knowing your mistakes ahead of time. There are lot of very huge points in the video that you should listen to as well.
What I Think?
This one is a good video to watch... in fact, it did make me think a whole lot. There are lot of people out there that make huge mistakes and they don't know until somebody points them out. I try my best to realize my mistakes but it can be hard to do... so it's always best to train yourself to be a better person. I suggest people to watch this video to hear all the stuff she talked about. It does have a lot to do what is going on with the world right now.

TED Talk of the Day 1: Your Data and Privacy Is Not Safe?
The video is here: https://www.ted.com/talks/finn_myrstad_how_tech_companies_deceive_you_into_giving_up_your_data_and_privacy?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_content=button__2018-10-31&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
What I learn?
Data and privacy can easily be given up to many apps without reading the fine print. Many apps these days can actually put out terms that could sell your data just with your permission. The guy talks about how things should be cautioned and reported no matter what.
What I Think?
I think it's a good idea to let people know the dangers of data and privacy, especially since technology is all the time getting smarter and sneakier. It's always best to keep an eye out on what is happening with your data... including the kids around you too. That's one thing that he talked about is how children and such are easily attracted to these privacy problems with the new tech that keeps coming out. As I listened, I learned that it's best to read all of the terms and service... and yes, you can turn in a company for a term and service review if there's something you noticed that is wrong. All in all, this video was fun to watch and listen to...
Until then... we shall continue tomorrow with another video from TED.
