Art Movement of the Day 26: Vanitas

Here's more info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanitas

I do know it's a name in a game... and I figured it out... it's an art movement that shows a lot of darkness... interesting... but the art itself is interesting too.

Here are some examples:

https://pixels.com/featured/pronkstilleven-vanitas-levin-rodriguez.html

I like the art... because it seems to show the truth... or rather... slow... dark... art.

Art Movement of the Day 10: Minimalism

More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minimalism

Oh, the art of less is more... being a minimalism is not only an art movement but a lifestyle too. People can live with almost nothing and be okay with it. When it comes to art... it's almost the same... just having one thing as the focus is all this art movement needs. It's interesting but not for me.

Here are some of examples:

https://corinejansen.com/2016/11/05/minimalism-brought-me-freedom-and-joy-james-althuger/

https://gobrief.com/blog/minimalism-stress/

Art Movement of the Day 3: Realism

More info of this art movement here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realism_%28arts%29

This type of art is basically called naturalism. All the art pieces takes after something natural or real.

There are many types of realism and I shall share samples of them here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realism_%28arts%29#/media/File:Gustave_Courbet_-_Bonjour_Monsieur_Courbet_-_Mus%C3%A9e_Fabre.jpg

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realism_%28arts%29#/media/File:Jean-Baptiste_Greuze_%28French_-_The_Laundress_%28La_Blanchisseuse%29_-_Google_Art_Project.jpg

https://www.widewalls.ch/socialist-realism-art/

Each art looks interesting... they either show what a person is doing at the moment the art is made... or just a person or nature at the point.

I sort of like this type of art... but not always.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Evans

Art Movement of The Day 1: Digital Art

Here's more info about Digital Art: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_art

Today's art movement is Digital Art.

Now there are subtypes but we won't get into these right now.

Digital Art is the art of using technology to make art. That can mean anything... so if you wish to know more info, just use that link for more.

Here's the examples of art (please note, the artist name and the art piece are on the websites. Do not steal these.):

https://www.artstation.com/artwork/1z4a3

https://www.artstation.com/artwork/walking-on-the-streets

https://paintable.cc/digital-painting-inspiration-017/

I love this style of art because each one can be different and unique. You can easily make many fantastical worlds.

The samples that I picked randomly on the sites shows how you can create almost anything. From a fantasy like world, to a city scene to a person of any kind.

Who knows what else they can create using this style.

Note: I decide to use websites and use them as credits... also, style is the same as movement. So they are not different words. Arts that are on sites are not my own and belong to the artists that are listed on the sites. I advise that you give credit if you wish to use their art piece or ask for permission. I only share sites that credits them... I will not be using a site that does not have an artist name around the art. Thanks.
