Day 6: How to Overcome Your Fear of Learning to Swim

I know I have a slight fear of learning to swim but I'm whiling to get over it.

What I Learn?

Learning to swim shouldn't be something some people fear. Unless you dealt with trauma with swimming, that's a different story.

Anyway, there's different ways to overcome the fear of learning to swim.

First, you could search online about the process of learning to swim. Then slowly, you learn to deal with the fear. You should try standing in water. Learning relaxation therapy can help you be calm.

It's always best to get comfortable with the water. It helps to have a friend help you out. If that doesn't there's always a swimming instructor that you can hire to help you out.

Always remember to do it safely.

Do I Want To Do This?

While I'm not afraid to learn, I think this is still a good advice to follow. I also think this would help me learn to swim and get used to the idea a bit more.

So, yes, I do want to do this.

Day 5: How to Groom a Syrian Hamster

Let's all take care of a hamster with long hair.

What I Learn?

Learning how to groom a hamster is quite interesting. You just need a small brush or small comb (if hamster has long hair). Just brush their hair at least once a week.

Another method, is you can get chinchilla sand which has stuff in it that hamsters use to groom themselves. But be careful, for hamsters can use the sand to use the bathroom.

The last sections shows how you can get claws trimmed.

As always, if you feel like you need help, you can go to a vet or a pet groomer that is specialized in hamsters.

Do I Want To Do This?

Since I do not own a hamster, I will not do this. However, I think it's a good post to share to those who might own a hamster.

Day 4: How to Topdress a Lawn

Need some new grass? Just topdress it.

What I Learn?

Every two to three years, it's suggested that you need to redo your lawn. Basically, you need this tool called aerator. What it does, it planets tiny holes in the grass so you can topdress it with the soil of your choice. Then you planet grass seeds over top of it. I think xD

What happens when you do this, that the grass will continue to grow with no brown spots at all.

Also, you might wanna repeat it after a rain shower. Just be sure to don't forget this and always be able to do hills too.

Do I Want To Do This?

Since I'm not running in the yard, nah. However, this might be a good idea if you live in a nicer neighborhood so if I lived somewhere else, then yea... I would do it.  

Day 3: How To Prevent Leg Cramps

Dealt with leg cramps a lot of times... always knew how to take care of it. But now I know how to prevent them.

What I Learn?

Leg cramps are most common after workouts and more. To me, I get leg cramps by walking a whole lot. It's best to stretch after workouts. Always keep aware of how much you are doing and take breaks to drink lots of water. Most times, you need electrolytes to prevent it. You should always have plenty of calcium in your diet. You could take medication if you talk to your doctor about it. I think since there are three different ways to prevent leg cramps... the first and second one are the best ones to follow.

So, keep aware on how much you are doing as workouts and keep hydrated with a balance diet with loads of calcium and magnesium in your life.

Do I Want To Do This?

I think it's a good idea to follow steps in preventing leg cramps, especially since I do suffer from them every once in a while. I like to read on things like this because it's a good thing for my health. So it should be good for you too.

What I Learn?

This might be a short one to do since it's about guys. I will let you know whether or not I am interested in the second section of this post. Firstly, this article tells how you should be able to tell if a guy is just playing with your feelings. Something I learned after a breakup. xD Long long ago. Anyway, it also states how you should just tell the guy no and whether you should have a conversation with him about how he is treating you.

I am not interested in this. I am single and I already know when a guy rather want to play around instead. So I don't need to learn this over and over. Since this is part of the challenge, I have no choice but to add this to my daily challenge. Hoping that the rest won't be like this xD

Day 1: How To Control Your Dreams

What I Learn?

I learn that you have start slow.

The fun way is writing down your dreams every morning. Keep a dream journal (or Diary) and  each morning, write down what you can remember. Even if you didn't dream it or remember, just write it down.

Then every night, start writing down dreams that you really want to have. Every night that you write the target dream, you shall want to read what you wrote over and over. Make sure within the written dream that you wrote a lot of details. No matter how small they are.

Because you are reading over and over with no distractions (no TV or radio), you should be able to dream about it.

Eventually, if you are successful at controlling your dreams, you should be able to do bigger things in dreams.

Just be warned, not to go too big because you can wake up suddenly.

Also, a slight warning... you might experience false reality so be sure to try to assure yourself that you are awake or not.

Do I Want To Do This?

Well, I have tried it before. I really need to try it again because it's actually fun to do. Being able to be totally aware of what you are dreaming about sounds awesome. I like the feeling of being excited or happy when I wake up so this might be a good chance to do.

I do want to write down my dreams more often. As well as write down dreams that I would love to dream about. This might be a good idea to add to my already dream journal.

Now It's Time To Learn How To Do Something Challenge

Starting tomorrow and until day 30, I am going to watch and read an article of how to do something. It's gonna be different for each day.

Now, I will only share the site that the article or video comes from. As for how is this relevant to pop culture? Anymore, anything that is crafty or hobby, it's all pop culture related.

Let's talk about how I am going to make each post interesting...

The title would be How To Do... then states the item. I will add the day instead of part so that you all know which is which.

I will explain what read or watch in each post. I won't post any pictures but only the link.

Then after I talk about it, I will then talk whether or not if it's something that I am interested or if it's something that I want to do.

Do not be surprised if any of them is something that I am not interested or don't want to do.

I hope that this will be interesting to do.

I will share all posts on A Faerie Journey everyday until the 30 days are over.

My Whole Review of TV Challenge A Day For 30 Days

I enjoyed this. But there were a lot of shows that I chose to skip because they were too long. There were a lot of shows that were not available on Netflix.

But in the end, this challenge has proven that I could easily get into some good shows that Netflix has got to offer.

I got to know what is good for originals and what's good just for being available on Netflix.

I might be doing this challenge again but with genres... so who knows what might happen next.

I will be taking a break for a day to plan out my next challenge.

Tomorrow will be when I will announce the next challenge. I will show an example too of what the challenge will be like each day.

I really enjoy doing challenges on this blog so yes, you will be expecting more!

My First Episode Review:

This show is based in Thailand it shows a lot that's like American in schools. It's every interesting to see. The first episode starts out with the girls talking about a boy and there seems to be a lot of things going on in school and after school. There's a girl who tries to stay out of trouble and a new girl who just can't really figure out how she fits in. Then you got the boys. There's one boy who is addicted to sex. So that's all for the first episode.

Will I Watch More? 

Yes, I would love to watch more of this show. I like Asian dramas so this would be a show that I can easily get into.

The show is about a mystery where a girl washes up from a water source. She was put together by many different parts of other children. The man goes into an investigation because he seems to think somebody is stealing children and using their bodies to be re-animated. 

Will I Watch More?

Yes, this is a show that I would look forward watching again. I like shows that have a bit of a fantasy in it.

This is mostly a game show but I did learn a lot about the bible just by watching each team answering. In the end, one team won for their charity of their choice.

No, I am not going to watch more of this. I don't really understand why there's a game show on Netflix but I guess they gotta have everything xD

This is a huge maybe because I am not sure if it's something that I want to continue on watching. We just have to wait and see.

It's about a son who came by his home and realize that his dad might be loosing the farm. He kind of had to help his dad get a calf out of a cow. It's really funny to watch.

Yes, I would watch more of this. It's good and funny xD

I love historic shows and this one is no different. This episode starts out with an assassin attempt to a young woman. She ended up being the next queen of Scotland. She moved to France to be protected by their family but realized that things are being harsh there. She just doesn't know it.

Will I Watch More?

Yes! I love shows like this and would love to watch more of it.

Thia is a first show that I watched based on a movie. It's interesting and actually funny to watch. Each episode is in 2 parts. The first episode starts out with Mavis wanting to make the hotel great but things happened. The second part of the first episode is about a ghost doll that just wants to play forever and ever.

Will I Watch More?  

Of course, I want to watch more of this show. I like the movies and this should give more idea about Mavis being alone.

 Not sure what I think about it but here we go. The show starts out in school and they were talking about ghosts. Then Pac-man does something later in the episode that actually causes ghosts to come out. He later learns that he can be the one that will save them from the ghosts.

Will I Watch More? 

I don't think this is something I will watch more of xD It's not a bad show, it's just something that I won't watch anymore.

My First Episode Review:

A family that had different problems in life. It's something that I know would be interesting to watch more. It starts pit with a guy jogging and he was tired. A sister of his moving back home. And a guy finding out that his girlfriend wants a baby. Another mother whose child prefer her dad to do things over her own mom. The guy in the beginning learns that there's something wrong with his son and tells his father about it. All basically, this show is telling about how each parent is raising their own children.

Will I Watch More?

Yes, I do want to watch this more. I think it's a good show. I'm glad it actually did caught my interest.

Short episode but I like these since they make shows easy to watch. The show is about a Llama named Llama Llama. This episode had two parts. One of which the Llama gets a old school scooter and wins second place, but he had fun. The second part, he went on a search for his lost tooth. 

Will I Watch More?

Maybe, but doubt it. I think the whole entire show is cute so that's a good thing.

 It tells about how cells at beginning to birth can be different for each person that is born. The show tells about how cells can be affected based on birth defects and much more. Whether it can be genetic or something that can't be helped during the process of being developed as a fetus within the womb.

Will I Watch More?

Not really. I got bored through out the most of the show. So, this is not a show that I will continue to watch.

 At first, I thought this show was gonna be boring but after a while, it turned out to be a laughing stock of a show. I really enjoyed it xD The young doctor was top of his class and came to a remote country to run a hospital. Over time, he learns how hard it is to be the only doctor and to run a hospital. The first episode was his first experience so far.

Will I Watch More?

Yes! I am going to watch more. It seems like it would be an interesting show to watch and figure out what is going on.

My First Episode Review:

A girl committed suicide but she had a reason... so she made these tapes before her tragic day... Sent them to several people and the mystery begins. The first episode was about her first kiss and how a picture changed all that.

Will I Watch More?

Yes, I am going to watch more of this show. It tells a lot about a person the meaning behind what rumors, bullying and much more can do to a person. Suicide is never a joke and this show should be shown to those who thinks it is something stupid. Advice though... don't watch it if you are having a problem too.

 From what I could tell... it starts out with a crime happening. Then it goes on with this guy in a wheelchair who was famous at one time. He wanted to start an online business but he tried to get this woman to help him out... in the end, he finds out that the woman was doing an investigation... what seemed like a robbery gone wrong, it was a set up just to kill this woman.


Will I Watch More?

To be honest, the story is good but the whole entire show was boring and long. I doubt I will be watching more. I do like to know what happens next so this... is just a maybe or a doubt.

My First Episode Review:

The weirdest show that I ever seen. A man who has the wildest imagination but some reason, his go as far as into reality. That explains why he is in a psych ward in this show. But then he meets this woman... who might be able to change him in some way.

Will I Watch More?

YES! It's by the far weirdest show but it's something I want to watch and see what happens next.

My First Episode Review:

 These women are sent to a farm to work since the war is going on. Each have a different story. The show starts out with two women getting off a train since they had been traveling far. And then it shoes two sisters who were sent there to get away from something. Things do happen which I am not going to reveal.

Will I Watch More? 

Yes, I am going to watch more of this show. It looks interesting to watch.

My First Episode Review:

A young orphan girl is sent as a mistake to Green Gables to live a brother and sister that never had children but are growing old. They wanted a boy but never got what they wanted. So at first, they were going to send her back but decided not to. Who knows what this show will be like. I've heard of the book but now I wished that I would had read it.

Will I Watch More?

Yes! It's such a lovely show and it's worth to watch more of it.

 It starts out with the parents taking their kids to see their grandparents. From there, they learn that they have to stay with their grandparents while their mom goes to get help with her health and their father goes off to war. It turns out, they have to stay longer than normal due to the war that is happening there. And the worst part... the war might be closer than they think.

Will I Watch More?

Yes! This is such an cute show but it shows the point of view of children that had to dealt with war.

My First Episode Review:

It started out with Lemurs and went from there to other animals. The last one was Koalas. This show shows what animals can be cute even though they are not.

Will I Watch More?

While it's cute to watch, I'm not interested in watching again.

Random TV Show Part 10: Goodbye Mr. Black

Goodbye Mr. Black

My First Episode Review:

It starts out these guys in the military training and whoever won, gets a few extra days off. These two best friends fought against each other. The one that won, gets punished. From on there, it kind of gets messed up. I don't want to spoil it too much because I have a feeling that there are a lot of things at stake here. Especially, the father of one of the boys on the show.

Will I Watch More? 

Yes, I am curious what happens. The preview before the show looks like one guy gets killed... so this should be interesting to find out what is the real story of this entire show.

Random TV Show Part 9: Marcella

My First Episode Review:

It starts out with this woman waking up in the bathroom for no reason at all. Then the scenes changed to a murder that happened above a store. The woman that you see in the beginning knows a whole lot about the case and thus, she asks to go back to work. The whole entire episode turns interesting as you see the woman being super jealous of her estranged husband. The ending went back to the same scene in the beginning. This might be something that could add more to the mystery of what she was there in the first place.

Will I Watch More?

Because I just want to find out more. Yes. I do like this show a lot to watch more of it later.

Random TV Show Day 8: Fastest Car

Fastest Car

The drivers of exotic supercars put their street cred on the line against deceptively fast sleeper cars built and modified by true gearheads.

My First Episode Review:

 These people has suped up cars and basically calling them sleeper cars. They are racing against super cars. This episode featured a mini van, a pick up truck and a hot rod. They were to race against a Ford GT... and well... you be surprised what car won. I think this episode is a good episode to watch.

Will I Watch More?

I will. Just to watch to see what other different cars they used.

Ramdom TV Show Day 7: Wanted

Wanted

 About: 

The series follows two complete strangers, Lola and Chelsea, who intervene in a fatal carjacking while waiting at a suburban bus stop, and are subsequently thrust into a chase from authorities across Australia with a vehicle filled with cash. The strangers must rely solely on each other while they are on the run.

 My First Episode Review:

Two strangers... caught up with a wrong moment. Apparently, crooked cops stole money and one killed another and it just escalated from there. Just these two women were caught up in the middle of it. Now they are on the run because something that wasn't even their fault.

Will I Watch More? 

Yes! I like shows like this so I will be watching more of it sometime.
